About Us

We are the Brooklyn College Anti-Racist Participatory Action Research (PAR) Team, a BRESI project.

We are 11 students, 1 staff member, and 3 faculty members. In fall and spring 2022-2023, we conducted a Participatory Action Research project that included auto-ethnographies and oral histories with Brooklyn College students to research student experiences in the classroom.

Participatory Action Research is an approach to research where those who are directly impacted by a research question are centered and in leadership on the research team throughout the process, from forming the research question, designing methods, conducting research, analysis, and figuring out what to do with the findings.

For more information on the research team, see the Who We Are page.
